WHITE OILS
ACROIL® VG7
ACROIL® VG7 White Mineral Oil (ISO 7 viscosity grade) is used in various food-related, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical applications subject to each country's applicable laws and regulations.
Cosmetics
VG7 is widely used as a component of a great variety of cosmetic products:
- Cleansers (cleansing oils and milks)
- Haircare products (hot oil treatments, gels, scalp pomades)
- Neutral and protective diluents for other cosmetic ingredients such as essential oils
- Other applications such as make-ups and make-up removers
VG7 provides many practical advantages to the formulation specialist:
- Excellent skin compatibility, very low irritancy, and no comedogenicity
- Outstanding balance between resistance to bacteria and final biodegradability, with minimal environmental impact

Pharmaceuticals and Veterinary products
VG7 offers a high level of safety, thanks to its high purity (absence of toxic polycyclic aromatics, heavy metals), the complete destruction of germs in the high-temperature manufacturing process, and specific packaging and handling procedures. Major uses are:
- Adjuvant in vaccines for animals (cattle, chickens, and pigs) where its low viscosity offers optimal efficacy
- Gelatin capsule manufacture
ACROIL® VG15
ACROIL® VG15 White Mineral Oil (ISO 15 viscosity grade) is used in various food-related, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical applications subject to each country's applicable laws and regulations.
Cosmetics
VG15 is widely used as a component of a great variety of cosmetic products:
- Emollients and moisturizers (cleansing oils and milks, body lotions and creams, suntan lotions and milk, make-up powders)
- Baby products (shampoos, baby oils, bath oils)
- Haircare products (hot oil treatments, gels, scalp pomades)
- Neutral and protective diluents for other cosmetic ingredients such as essential oils
- Other applications such as bath cubes, antiperspirants, and deodorant sticks
VG15 provides many practical advantages to the formulation specialist:
- Excellent skin compatibility, very low irritancy, and no comedogenicity
- Very good balance between resistance to bacteria and final biodegradability, with minimal environmental impact

Pharmaceuticals

VG15 is an ingredient of pharmaceutical topical ointments and petroleum jellies. It can be used as a pelletizer aid and in the manufacture of gelatin capsules.
ACROIL® VG68
ACROIL® VG68 White Mineral Oil (ISO 68 viscosity grade) is used in various food-related, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical applications subject to each country's applicable laws and regulations.
Thermoplastics
VG68 is recommended as a food packaging-grade plasticizer for general purpose and high-impact polystyrene. It is recommended for use as an external lubricant for non-plasticized PVC. This White Oil is an inert and protective catalyst carrier for polypropylene processes. It can also serve as a pigment powder dispersant in masterbatch compounding.
Elastomers and Adhesives
VG68 is used for producing food-contact or medical rubber articles such as EPDM or butyl rubber. It is particularly well suited for the extension of Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE), such as SBS, SEBS, or SEPS. The product also is recommended for Hot-Melt Adhesives formulations used in sanitary products.
Cosmetics and Pharmaceuticals
VG68 has many well-established applications in the pharmaceutical industry, like laxative jellies and ointments. It is also recommended as a component for many cosmetic products, such as creams and body lotions. Further detailed information is available in our bulletin White Oils for Cosmetics.
PARAFFIN WAX
ParaWax57
ParaWax57 is manufactured in Europe and meets the highest level of quality standards and is primarily used as a component in the manufacture of candles. ParaWax57 meets the requirements of RAL-GZ 041 for candle manufacture.
